This piece was drawn using graphite, and I mainly used makeup and nail art brushes for a soft finish. Actually, I started drawing with charcoal, but I didn't like how it didn't quite capture the model's soft feel and the photographer's way of seeing the world, so I stopped at about 80% of the drawing's completion. Because I started again from scratch using graphite, it took a very long time to finish this piece.
Here in Japan, we had a total lunar eclipse on May 26th, and it was also a supermoon where the moon is closest to Earth. It is the first time since September 1997 that a total lunar eclipse has coincided with a supermoon. Coincidentally, I finished this piece on the same day, so I entitled it in honor of the bright and beautiful supermoon, "Moon's Drop".
