Camouflage

This studio painting was inspired by plein air studies I have done near Grand Ledge, a unique location for the middle of Michigan. It is a rocky oasis surrounded by flat farmland. Maria Del Mar, my beautiful girlfriend, is the subject in this piece. I wanted to explore the idea of humans connecting to the beauty of their natural surroundings, becoming one with nature.
