Captured at a lake in North Idaho, on 4 panels, each 24" wide, the total being 36x36. Yes, I was on my hands and knees to do this plein air creation! I do not remember ever using a photograph to do a landscape. Why? Because a camera cannot capture the subtle nuances that nature shares with us! Only the eye can perceive, to share with the soul, the deep beauty that Nature gives us daily! My imagination is not good enough, to find these gentle, flowing colors and values...but I've learned to pay attention when out there, observing LIFE as she unfolds to us!
